As the German Federal Ministry for Information Security (BSI) announced this weekend, unknown persons have hacked Microsoft Exchange Server via four so-called zero-day exploits. With these vulnerabilities in the software programming, third parties potentially had the opportunity to steal information and identities.
Unfortunately, this also affects HD Vision Systems’ mail server. We have already closed the gap for the time being and are now working on a sustainable protection of the system. According to our initial analysis, the attack took place between March 3rd and 6th. At the same time, it is still unclear whether and which data was stolen. Potentially, this could affect all your email correspondence with us and our employees.
We would therefore ask you to immediately change any passwords you may have shared with us. Please be alert to phishing and other deception attempts by third parties in the near future.
Of course, we will inform you again if there are any changes in the information we have.
I would like to apologize to you personally once again. At HD Vision Systems, we are dedicated to safely automating your production every day. This claim applies to all aspects of our company. Therefore, I assure you that we are working hard to further secure our systems and to further minimize the risk of such an occurrence.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or comments.
